The Best Compliment

The best compliment you can provide if I’ve helped you with your Medicare decisions, is sharing my information with your friends. I promise I’ll follow the same process with them as I have with you!

I Love Helping People

At the end of the day, people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. A successful day for me starts with helping one person, and that one person could be you.

What About Your Second Half?

Once your Medicare decisions are made, along with your other healthcare decisions, you may be wondering what’s next. If that’s you, then let’s set a time in January to discuss what’s next!

What Are You Waiting For?

I don't have the time right now.

Many of the decisions around Medicare are time sensitive. Some of them, such as prescription drug plans, have mounting costs for delaying the decision. By answering a number of questions prior to our meeting, I’ll be as efficient as possible with our time together.

I'm not sure what I'll be able to afford.

Anticipating what life will be like once your paycheck is replaced by retirement income can be a challenge. That’s why we look at all of your options and tailor a plan that fits your budget, and provides as many of the things you’re looking for as possible.

Can't I just take care of all of this on the Medicare website?

You can navigate all of that on your own if that’s what you’d like to do. Or, at no additional cost, you can work with me. I provide an extra set of eyes, and have the added advantage of knowing what plans carriers have that you’ll find most beneficial.

Why should I trust you?
  • A big part of why I’m doing this is because I have a front row seat to what my parents are doing. Thankfully, my parents are not taking many medications, because they missed signing up for a prescription drug plan, and now it’s prohibitively expensive to sign up for one.
  • The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requires training every year, and individual companies also test on their products under a similar mandate.
  • In the event that you have a scenario I don’t know how to help you with, I know where to turn. A baseball team with a pitcher in trouble turns to their bullpen. My bullpen includes seasoned agents and contacts at each company that sells Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans.
Ok, I'm ready to go, what's next?

About Me

Unless you’re familiar with Harrisburg, PA, you might look at the body of water behind me and think it was a lake instead of the lengthy Susquehanna River that makes its way from Upper New York State through Pennsylvania and ultimately to the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

What does this have to do with me?

Just like this river, our lives start somewhere. Mine started in New Jersey in the late 1960s. I was born into a family who owned a department store–think a single store version of Macy’s. I started working there when I was young doing anything my dad would let me do! By the time I went off to college, there wasn’t a job I hadn’t done. I certainly didn’t appreciate that education nearly as much as I should have, but that’s a story for another time.

The big brother I never had stayed at our house while he went to NJIT, and so I decided that’s where I wanted to go to college. I enjoyed many of the experiences there, but my ability to bridge the language barriers and the much more challenging course work got the better of me. My girlfriend, now my wife, convinced me that I should transfer to her college, and I went to work convincing my parents to let me.

I’m glad that worked out because I went from close to flunking out to graduating with a respectable albeit not the highest of GPAs!

Since graduating and getting married, I’ve experienced many mountains that have gotten in the way of the flow of my river. I used to view those mountains as obstacles getting in the way of my success, but now I realize they’re just the things God has placed in my life to get me where He’s wanted me all along. From where I am now, I can see the Atlantic, even though it would seem that I have a long way to go to get there.

Helping you navigate the river of your life by identifying and even benefiting from your own mountains seems to be my calling! I’d love to get to know you, and help you, because that’s how I’m going to get to the Atlantic.

Let’s start by getting Medicare taken care of for you!

Testimonials

“Ken takes knowing what he needs to know to help as seriously as he takes building a relationship so that he can help.”

“It is evident that Ken knows first-hand that families are complicated, and he takes the time necessary to understand our needs.”

“I’ve seen Ken help people at Panera figure out the self-checkout kiosk. He may have other things to do, but takes the time to slow down enough to help”

Still haven’t made an appointment?

Medicare and the decisions you need to make can seem daunting. I get it. Most tests I’ve had to take in my profession require a passing grade of 70%. The Medicare test is different! It’s 90% and it’s 50 questions. That means you can’t get more than 5 wrong! Talk about pressure!

What does that have to do with you, and why did I bother sharing that? You may visit the CMS.gov website and feel overwhelmed. You may not know you’ve got things done correctly. You didn’t have to pass any test to do it yourself. But in order to help you, I’ve had to prove that I know how Medicare works, and what’s more this test has to be passed each year. I will constantly be working to earn and keep your trust. Let’s get started!
